Return to Reports 2010 Index

The VMMA received an invitation from Walhalla Lodge No. 69 to make an official visit on Saturday 14th August 2010 due to the letter we sent them seeking their support of the Cystic Fibrosis Victoria Inc. and VMMA Inc. major Event the "Breathless" 8 Day Awareness and Fundraising Ride that commences in late October 2010.

During the past 7 years the VMMA and Walhalla Lodge have maintained a strong bond and have supported each other during this time.

It was definitely worth the step climbing with the Walhalla Masonic centre having being restored and redecorated.

It must be noted that the Walhalla Masonic Centre has received some tender loving care and its restoration and decoration is a credit to the lodge, well done.

The following VMMA members attended on the evening Bob Nicholls, Noel Harris, David Cash, Wazza, David Kent, Garry Power, Brian Sanders and Dean Lugton.

Also attending on the evening was brethren from Werribee Lodge No. 187 who later in the evening received an invitation from the VMMA to support the "Breathless" 8 Day event by attending on the last evening at the Queenscliff Bowling Club.

Bob our Merchandise Officer, there is never a dull moment with Bob!!!!

The work for the evening was a demonstration 1st degree ceremony and unknown to Dean he was the stand in candidate for the evening for Dean's 2nd and 3rd degree's were carried out at Walhalla Lodge so it was only fitting that he have the chance to run through the 1st at Walhalla Lodge.

On completion of the 1st degree ceremony the Walhalla Lodge Acting Worshipful Master W.Bro A.B. Heppleston (Tony) made a $500 donation on behalf of the Walhalla Lodge in the lodge room to the VMMA President Dean Lugton to be put towards the "Breathless" fundraiser, what a magnificent donation for Walhalla Lodge No. 69.
